Amy Emily Annamunthodo

This is the story of Amy Emily Annamunthodo. A beautiful little girl from Trinidad. This 4 year old angel suffered so much abuse at the hands of her "de-facto" stepfather. She fought all she could until May 15th, 2006 with she couldn't fight anymore. Her beautiful light had been dimmed. As you will see in the video, shortly after, the house where she had lived was burned and only a teddy bear and a dress survived. None of Amy's toys or photos. In fact the only photo of Amy is the one below:
This is the only photo of Amy Emily. It was taken as family and friends said their last goodbyes. She looks like she is finally at peace. She shouldn't have been here. People knew of the abuse and did nothing to stop it. No one fought for Amy, not her mother or her bio dad, both who knew of the abuse. Not the neighbor who not only knew of the abuse, but witnessed it for himself and did nothing. Amy found a little peace in her short life, when she was placed in a children's home. But after a petition to the state by her mother and grandmother, a judge granted custody back to Amy's mom and with that judgement, sealing Amy's faith.

If only someone would've come forward a while ago, if someone would have just made a phone and got an investigation started. Maybe Amy would be alive today. Take a long, hard look at this photo. This is what happens when you turn a blind eye to child abuse. This is what happens when you know that a child is being abused or neglected and you choose not to report it. This could have been prevented in my opinion. Rest in peace Amy Emily. You are at peace now, where no one can hurt you ever again.

  1. How could other people who witnessed abuse keep silence. Why nobody reported the abuse on her. just because she was not their child. it's ridiculous. wake up!!

  2. when theres abuse being done to a child I dont care how scary the person is im stepping in for that child. You dont stand by and watch abuse happen. you are just as guilty as the murderer if you do!!!!!!!!

  3. I 100% agree. Children can not defend themselves against adults, if I see abuse you better believe Im getting in the middle of that.

  5. I am very sorry for all that this little girl went through there is not excuses for people who do things like that. Poor little angel but she doesn't have to go hungry or get torture any more. She knows now the real meaning of peacefulness and for the mother and neighbors, I hope they can find peace in their conciuos. Well I doubt that woman has one because all that she said is that she wants to move on WOW I guess that child was a stumbling block in her life. I hope NOBODY forget her because I and I mean it I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET HER and every time her thought comes to my mind I will ask God to help her rest in peace something that she never knew in such a short time of her life.

  6. I agree that anyone who knows of a child being abused has a responsibility to stand up for that child. I cannot begin to imagine her loneliness or pain from feeling unloved. She is with the almighty now, who said that if anyone harmed his little ones it would be better for them to hang a millstone around their neck and throw themselves to bottom of the ocean. God will have vengeance for this angel. Meanwhile we all have a responsibility to the children to be the voice for them when they cannot.

  7. To God be the Glory. Vengence is mine saith the Lord. The punishment that these people are going to face on earth will be no where close to their punishment after life. To the neighbors that said nor did anything to help this angel, may your conscious be your guide. You too will pay a price for your silence. Thank you God for setting this baby free. Our children are angels of God and they are the sure ones at a dying young age to make up heavens angels. Again to God be the Glory.

  8. Just reading this story MAKE ME SO ANGRY!!!!!!!

Several years ago I lived in a an apartment where the little girl was left with her mother boyfriend and every time her mother left she would cry and cry and cry. After hearing this little girl cry (maybe for the 3-4 time) I went downstairs and beat on that damn door until he opened it. I DEMANDED to know what was going on and told him if she cries again I will call the police because you are going to need them to get me off of you. He got mad and argumentive but I was NOT backing down. I spoke to both the little girl and the mother told her what was going on. To my relief he was not abusing the little girl but when her mother would leave she bring her upstairs to me. WE MUST GET INVOLVED!! I WOULD RATHER DIE TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING THAN LIVE KNOWING I DID NOTHING!!

  9. T.E you are such an awesome person for what you did. Thank God he wasn't abusing her, but it is always better to safe then sorry. Too bad there aren't more people like you in this world. This angel should have never EVER had to go through this. Bless your heart.
