This woman is Samantha Sue Evans. And obviously she aint on this page cause she's going out for mommy of the year! No she has the honors of making this page because of what she did to her 16 month old baby.
In June 2010, Samantha's daugther was pulled from a scalding hot tub with burns all over her little body. She was taken to Williamson Memorial, but she did not make it. This is the second child of hers that has died. Her 5 week old baby died in 2001 it was ruled "natural causes".
So, the question you are asking yourself is where in hell was she while her baby burned to death in a hot bath tub. Samantha was incapacitated and passed out. She had gone on a prescription drug binge, admitting to snorting Xanax and Oxycodone pills.
Apparently, CPS of Columbus, OH never investigated the death of her 5 week old. They only started investigating Evans after the infant's death because of unrelated complaints. Pam Posser with CPS said that the department had multiple complaints on Evans. She said that Evans had many children and that the cases were hard to investigate because she and her children would move around a lot and disappear.
TO DATE: Prosecutor for Mingo County wanted to indict her for murder. However West Virginia does not have a statutory "depraved indifference" category, he said, so child neglect resulting in death is the maximum charge under WV law!

The grandmother of a girl who died in Florence last week is raising questions about how the Department of Social Services handled her case. On Jan. 25, 3-year-old Ty'Lashia Grant was taken to a McLeod Medical Center in Florence around 2 p.m. She was pronounced dead on arrival by Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews.
Matthews said there was evidence Ty'Lashia had been abused, and said the investigation into the cause of her death is being centered around serious burns she had on her body.
Ty'Lashia's maternal great aunt and cousin, Geraldine Brockington, 42, and Kesha Grant, 23, both of Florence, were arrested early Jan. 26 and charged with homicide by child abuse.
According to a child support order filed in family court in November of 2009, Brockington had custody of Ty'Lashia at that time.
Ty'Lashia's paternal grandmother Vivian Andrews said the little girl and her mother Temaka Grant lived with Andrews for months after Ty'Lashia was born on February 24, 2007. Andrews acknowledges that her son, Ty'Lashia's father, was not actively involved with the family. Andrews claims while she was on a two-week trip out of town later in 2007, Brockington filed a complaint with the Department of Social Services in which she requested DSS to remove Ty'Lashia from Andrews' home.
DSS has not explained why Brockington was given custody of Ty'Lashia. Other sources have said Ty'Lashia's mother agreed to transfer custody to Brockington.
Andrews says DSS never investigated other options for caretakers.
"I waited for somebody to come and talk to me," Andrews said. "Nobody came."
She also says DSS should have investigated Brockington more and done a more thorough background check. She says to make matter worse, she does not believe DSS followed up to see if Ty'Lashia was doing okay at Brockington's home.
"Usually somebody's supposed to go out to the home and check up on the child when you place them somewhere and see how that child is doing or at least do a background check on the person that has that baby. It seems like nobody did nothing," Andrews said. "I feel that little baby was crying out for help and nobody was paying attention to her. They did not do what they were supposed to have done."
Andrews says she never knew Brockington, so she never realized the situation Ty'Lashia was in until she heard about the little girl's death. She says she made the mistake of trusting that Ty'Lashia had been put in a safe environment.
A DSS spokesperson in Columbia released the following statement in regards to the case:
"Everyone is deeply saddened and shocked by what has happened to Tylashia Grant. Our Florence County DSS office also will investigate Tylashia's death and will cooperate fully with law enforcement as they prosecute the case. We can confirm that DSS had prior involvement. The state office will be doing a thorough review and assessment of what happened in accordance with our child death protocol. We will review all records and will interview all of the DSS staff involved. Policy staff will analyze our staff's actions and decisions to determine whether good practice and whether policies and procedures were followed," a written statement from the Columbia office of DSS said.
Tylashia's funeral was Wednesday afternoon at Monumental Baptist Church on Oakland Avenue in Florence. She was buried at North View Cemetery immediately follow the ceremony.

Say hello to Elvis Garcia. This is the face of a monster. Elvis is being held without bail, he is responsible for what law enforcement describe as the worst child abuse case they have seen.
Elvis is being accused of the beating of a 4 y.o little boy. Detectives were called to St. Lukes Hospital on January 29th in response to a 4 y.o was brought in for treatment. Detective Silva described the boy as having bruises on his back, shins and arms as well as cuts on his backside. The doctors said that his injuries were consistent with being struck with a rope or a cord.
Here is the truly amazing part. Despite being covered in bruises and undoubtedly scared, the little boy was able to tell nurses who was responsible for his injuries...he named "Elvis".
As the story goes on, it talks about Garcia's friends testifying how much he loved this little boy, like he was his own. How he brought him clothes for Christmas and took him everywhere. Isnt that sweet of him. NOT. Buying clothes doesnt make you a parent. Beating your child makes you a monster. The procutors feel that there is enough evidence to prove that he is a dangerous person, a true monster in the closet. He deserves to be put away for a long ass time.
The "mother" of the little boy is also being held without bail, she has been charged with child endangerment, for knowing about the abuse and allowing it to go on.
Baby Doe, as he is referred as, is still in the hospital awaiting surgery. They say he is in good spirits.

On Friday April 11th 2008 Susan Bird-Winbun dropped her five week old twins off to their fathers home for the weekend, thinking they would be safe. She went over to check on them the next day and to tuck the twin in. That was the last time she knew her babies were alive.
When she went to go and get the twins, Savannah and Tyler, at 4 o' clock no one answered. At 8 o' clock she came back with the police. What they found inside, is every mother's nightmare. Inside they found David Yates passed out on his bed and under his bed were the broken bodies of the 5 week old twins. They had suffered from blunt force brain trauma, Savannah suffered from a skull fracture and Tyler a broken foot. Police said that they saw a little foot sticking out from underneath the duskruffle. The babies were almost stacked on top of each other.
What would make a father do this to his own? He was 45 years old and the twins were his first children. He freaked. Savannah had been loud that night. Well babies cry. Five week old babies, they cry because they dont have any other way to communicate to us. Initially, David was charged with a violation of his probation, it wasnt until after the autopsy came back that he was charged with first degree murder. This twins never had a chance with a father like this one. It pisses me off, here is someone who is there to protect his family, to make sure NO harm comes their way. But instead this asshole kills his five week old babies and stuffed their little bodies under his bed and passed out on top of them.

Cheryl Christopher is being accused of child abuse after she attempted to strangle one of her children and making them jump off the roof and locking one of them in a dog cage. She is being charged with first-degree criminal abuse, first-degree wanton endangerment and unlawful imprisonment. Her husband, Elisha B. Christopher, 69, is charged with first-degree criminal abuse because he allowed another to abuse his 9-year-old child by strangulation and did not report or prevent them from being abused by his wife.
Police had began to investigate them on June 15th after recieving reports of possible child abuse. The six children involved ranged in age from 7-15. Some of these children are adopted.
In January, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services Foster Care sued Cheryl Christopher for "reimbursement for monies paid on behalf" of the children while they were in the state's foster care system.
